Do you have incredible customer service and typing skills, but hate phone jobs? Lucky for you, there are lots of chat support jobs from home you can go into.

Chat support agents are the people you talk to over a messaging platform, such as live chat or email, to ask questions or place an order.

You’ve probably chatted with one before when you were booking for airline flights or inquiring about hotel accommodation. The person you were talking to behind the computer screen or smartphone is actually a chat support agent. You can get ahold of such agents through the company’s website or live chat channel like Facebook messenger.

The wonderful thing about this is that you can become a chat support agent yourself and work from home or anywhere. Nowadays, many businesses are moving their businesses online, so opportunities such as chat support jobs from home are also likely to open up.

Chat Support Agent: Job Description

But first things first, what exactly are remote chat agent jobs? What do chat support agents do?

According to JobHero, chat support agents perform one or more of these tasks: 1). Answer questions 2). Solve problems and 3). Troubleshoot.

Chat support agents provide this service via a messaging or live chat platform, allowing them to quickly process the concern, offer customer service satisfaction, and keep the client returning. Simply put, companies hire support agents to provide the best customer service experience.

According to Super Office, 41% of customers expect most businesses to have a live chat support feature. The numbers are even higher if customers go to your website via a mobile device. So, without chat support, customers felt ignored or neglected because they don’t have anyone to connect with regarding their concern or query.

Since chat support jobs are often conducted remotely, this gives you the chance to jump on an employment opportunity you can do from home. There are lots of live chat remote jobs nowadays to choose from with flexible working hours and decent pay. So, if you want a job that’s legit and entirely home-based, remote online chat jobs might be for you.
