Signs of a work-from-home job scam
Table of Contents
Before we discuss what 3 hour job dot com is, I think it’s essential that we know how to know if an online opportunity is legit or a scam. After all, you’re here to earn money, not get ripped off. According to the Federal Trade Commission Consumer Information, here are the red flags of an online job scam.
It’s suspiciously too good to be true
We all know that in the real world, legit jobs don’t come easy. So, if someone contacts you first with a job offer, saying you’re qualified and you don’t even need to go through the entire application process, it’s most likely a scam.
Ridiculously high pay for easy work
I know it’s tempting to take the bait when someone says you can earn $XXX doing 3 hour jobs. Who wouldn’t want that, right? But the thing is, these enticing offers often have underlying bad motives, so be careful.
The company looks suspicious online
When you look up the company offering you a job, always look at its official website and social media pages. Does it come up in Google search? If it does, what was the feedback of clients and employees on the company? Also, check out the company’s contact details and address, and then double-check if it does exist. Give it a call. Ask questions. If the information you’ve gathered doesn’t add up, then it’s likely a scam.
They’re asking for personal details
If the employer wants to get your personal information, such as social security number and bank details early in the application process, take caution. They might be targeting you for identity theft.
Your gut says it’s a scam
If you already have a deep gnawing feeling that the job offer is a scam, especially after doing careful research, then it probably is. Don’t go any further. There are better and legit opportunities for you out there.

What is 3hourjob.com?
The 3hourjob.com website looks suspicious in many ways. When I dug deeper about 3hourjob, I’ve found that many people have different experiences with it. According to most 3hourjob.com reviews, the site will lead you to various landing pages, depending on your location. Here’s what I’ve gathered about the 3hourjob website:
- The domain is for sale
- It requires an upfront payment to access the system
- It promises people with $500 of earnings for working for a few hours each day
- You have to pay $47 to access its website ATM
- It redirects you to a “Prosperity Message” and claims to help you alleviate money worries
- It offers data entry work with high rates and low effort
In most cases, 3hourjob.com claims to provide a work-from-home opportunity that you can access when you give them your payment. Looking at it more closely, I believe the site is looking to con unsuspecting people who are desperate to earn an income online.
3hourjob.com review: Is it real or fake?
The glaring question in this 3hourjob.com review is this: is 3hourjob.com legit, or is it a scam?
Given the different dubious circumstances when you try to access the 3hourjob.com website, I’d say that it’s a scam. But why do I say so? Let’s inspect this so-called “work-from-home opportunity” a little closer.
1. The website shows it all
Legit companies know that a website is an essential business tool. However, in the case of 3hourjob, the website doesn’t look professional at all. First, it has an unsecured URL, which already raises a red flag. Scammers and attackers can use the information you’ve entered into an unsecured web page in scrupulous ways.
Also, take note that you are redirected to a different landing page when accessing the “opportunity.” This is another red flag. The site lacks transparency as to what the job entails.
2. It uses pressure to get you to sign up
3hourjob.com scams uses high-pressure tactics to get you to sign up. It may entice you to take the offer because it’s running out fast. Some people also report seeing fake video testimonials and claims of being published on respectable websites like CNN.
3. It promises you quick money
Even if the site promises work-from-home data entry work, the rate it offers is just too ludicrous to not get suspicious about. If you’re going to do some research in this type of work, you’ll find that the average data entry worker earns around $12-23 per hour. But the site claims you’ll earn triple-digit for just a few hours of work, so that’s just too good to be true.
4. Negative feedback on the internet
Finally, if you’re going to look around the internet to see what people think of the job offers in 3hourjob.com reviews, you’ll find that all of them claim the site is a scam. I know even legit companies get negative feedback with regards to pay rate, work culture, or other things. But when several people say they’ve been conned by this specific website/company, then it’s most likely a scam.
What do people have to say about 3hourjob.com?
Fortunately, most people are wise enough to realize that 3hourjob.com is a scam. In most forums, I’ve found reports of people being harassed with calls from the website personnel. According to this Reddit user, “they have called me multiple times and leave the same message. The website seems very unorganized and fraudulent.”
This was seconded by more Reddit users, saying they’ve got a voicemail from 3hourjob.com as well.
Meanwhile, there are a number of people on Quora who are also convinced that 3hourjob is a scam:
“They can not pay money to their users. Yes, they credit some money in your wallet but if you want to withdraw your money then they can not allow this.”– Nancy Garcia
Mamta Kumari also said that the website has since shut down and failed to pay people money.
3hourjob.com Review: The Verdict
Unfortunately, the 3hourjob scam is just one of the many online job scams that have infiltrated the internet. They’re looking for people who are desperate enough to take their bait, hand them personal information and even pay them in exchange for online work!
I’d like to warn you that there may be more of these fraud so-called opportunities, so I urge you to take caution when applying for one. First, never hand out personal information at the early part of the application process. If you’re being pressured to provide your bank or credit card details, run away. These people aren’t just looking to rip you off, they’re also trying to steal your identity!
Also, if you were interested in 3hourjob.com because it claims to provide data entry work, you should know that there are legit data entry jobs you can apply to. These get-rich-quick schemes are out to steal your money and hard work.
So, as far as 3hourjob.com review is concerned, I’d say stay away from it. It pays to be more careful when applying for any type of job. Do your research and if something feels odd or out of place, stop. There are plenty of legit work-from-home opportunities out there, so don’t lose heart. It’s always better and safer to work for a legit company.
